Pit Orchestra


The purpose of the pit orchestra is to perform the music for the spring and fall stage musical productions. Past productions include Chicago, Into the Woods, The Boys From Syracuse, Les Miserables, and other well known musicals. Because of the reputation of North Springs arts, shows are often packed with parents, students, and other community members, therefore connecting North Springs with the community at large. From this, students receive real-world performance experiences.

The pit orchestra rehearses before or after school for several weeks before the public performances. Membership in the pit orchestra is by audition or recommendation. The students do not receive a grade for their participation, but are considered participants in an extra-curricular activity. Prospective members should be proficient musicians with plenty of time to devote to rehearsals and performances.
