Mike Brown began teaching at North Springs in the fall of 2003. His duties at North Springs include assisting with the marching band, conducting the concert and bands, and conducting and performing with the pit orchestra.

Mr. Brown is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Valdosta State University where his major instrument was the saxophone. He grew up and attended high school school in the Atlanta metro area. Mr. Brown is married to Donna Brown, who has a degree in Clarinet performance, and has a six year old daughter named Sarah.
