New Band Camp Dates

As you have probably heard, the Fulton County school calendar for the 2010-2011 school year has changed. You can view the new calendar at www.fultonschools.org. The adjustment in the calendar has allowed me to adjust the dates for summer band rehearsals. These adjustments have been posted on the band website.  Please make note of these dates as you are making plans for your summer vacation. Basically, everything has moved back one week later than it has been in recent years. The first day of school for the students in 2010 is August 23rd.

Picture Day

Individual pictures for:  Senior Orchestra and Senior Band Members, All Band Members, All Marching Band Members, All Wind Ensemble Members, Color Guard, and Steel Band Members, will be taken during first period class on Friday, October 2, 2009. All students need to be dressed accordingly for their respective group. An instrument will be needed with the picture. Pictures will be taken in the Band Room. Photos will be available for purchase at a later date. Each student needs to arrive earlier so we can start on time.

On the day of pictures we need:

  1. All students arrive to band room between 7:30 and 8:30 AM and dressed. We must be ready to move quickly.

  2. Band students get their uniforms, Orchestra Seniors in tuxedos, Steel Band with uniforms, Color Guard in their uniform, Wind Ensemble in tuxedos and dresses, and Band Directors in tuxedos.

  3. Pictures begin at 7:45am and proceed. We will do Orchestra and Band Seniors first, and then we will move to Band Students, etc.

We want to have all students in this year’s picture - please show up and on time.

Please note there will not be a second chance to take these photos. Every student needs to be at the school preferably early, dressed and ready to take their photo.

Thank you for supporting the Music Program.
